Its not all about the designer....

Now I'm not going to lie, if I could afford it i would be draped head to toe in Chanel and D&G with a nice hunk of Mulberry hanging off my arm but.....I'm not. I'm far from. I'm a student and therefore I worship the fashion forward high street. Now I will be the first to say that I don't walk around looking like a fashionista. Give me a leather jacket, tea dress and a pair of brogues any day! But i do know what is hot. High street hot. 

Zara. 
Now i have been a fan of Zara for years. I'm one of those annoying 'I don't want to wear anything anybody else has got' people. I never say 'ooh where are those from' or 'Do you mind if i get those?' Because be honest....we all mind if somebody copies our clothes!

So Zara.

They have created a mind blowing look book with gorgeous outfits.



 This is on my Christmas list already
 This is a look i adore. No matter what anybody says, any dress teamed with a leather jacket will always work. Without a doubt a classic look. 

This last image is the show stopped for me. I love the feminine and masculine combination. I wish i had a figure like that to pull of such a look but i am happy enough worshipping whoever came up with  it! I think the  bow tie will be making an appearance on the catwalks for a while. My personal winter tip (being one of those girls who doesn't bare everything when she goes out) leggings, or black skinny jeans in my case, teamed with a show stopping top, glitzy blazer, killer heels and stand out clutch is ALWAYS going to be a winner.

The last month or so has flown by! As if we are already in July. Terrifying. Next festive competition

So feelingstylish.co.uk is running a competition for us bloggers to create a Christmas window for Next. All you have to do is simply design your window using next products and submit your entry in a comment on the feelingstylish.co.uk blog. I have done my own entry (I will admit it is hard to create the window and make it look realistic so make sure you explain your concept) My window focuses on a pale colour scheme. It is extremely feminine and not obviously Christmas themed in the way that there is no red or gold to be seen! I chose to use the two glitter Christmas trees as features as they are adorable! I would actually have the fairy lights on the left wrapped through the branches of the trees for a more whimsical feel. I have then chosen two party dresses. Seeing as party season is all about the sparkle I chose to pale pink numbers both embellished beautifully with sequin. Money vs Style

As I sit here next to my best friend searching Amazon for a cheap pot of OPI muppets collection I can't help but wonder if having more money makes it easier to be more stylish?  Think about it..... Being a student means I am poor 99% of the time apart from my birthday or Christmas. Luckily for me it is my 21st birthday on Sunday and therefore had the luxury of having over 200 pounds to spend on of course clothes! Although I wanted my Mulberry Bayswater for my birthday I was EVEN more over joyed to unwrap my beautiful Michael Kors rose gold watch off my parents. (partly because it is extremely shiny) but mainly because this is the first truly expensive item I have really owned. The first thing I know I will keep for the rest of my life.  So does money make you more stylish? Look at celebrities, they are always the ones captured and photographed for the style pages of magazines, so why not photograph normal people?
