The best of the Met

The Met ball brings together the most stylish and glamorous names in fashion. Last night did not fail to impress as some of the most beautiful dresses were worn down the red carpet.

Beyonce looked breath taking in this haute couture Givenchy bejeweled gown, rocking her post baby body.
Diane Kruger looked stunning donned in this bold and bright Prada gown.
One of my personal favourites. The always sexy Scarlett Johanson was show stopping in this amazing gown by Dolce and Gabanna.
Marchesa never fail to make the most astonishingly stunning dresses for these fashion focused occasions. Leighton Meester looked golden in this beautiful creation. Her make up is also flawless! Another one of my personal favourites.
The queen of fashion herself. Anna Wintour caused a positively brilliant reaction when she graced the red carpet wearing her lobster encrusted Prada gown draped with her white fur shawl.
Camilla Belle looked stunning in her metallic Calvin Klein design. Her make up and sleek hairstyle compliment her look perfectly. It's not always easy to pull of the dark lip but she manages so well.
Stylist queen Rachel Zoe stuck by her title of accessory goddess by adding an over sized necklace to one of her own designs.

And let's not forget THE MEN.
The oh so sexy Ed Westwick looked as dapper and gorgeous as always wearing a Prada tux with a crisp white shirt and black tie.
Douglas Booth - Burberry model looked relaxed and sexy in his Burberry tux.
The other grogeous Gossip Girl hunk Mr Chace Crawford looked just as dapper as his co-star as he also donned a simple and sleek tux.

Although there were some beautiful dresses, there were also some more questionable choices that caused some controversy within the style world. I was personally taken a back by the choice made by Karolina Kurkova, although Rachel Zoe is a designer of stunning clothes, the choice of the sequin dress matched with the sequin turban just din't sit right for me as a choice for the Met.

Kirsten Dunst didn't pull off the "granny chic" look on the carpet last night. The burnt orange colour drained the colour from Kirstens skin and her old fashion hair and  make up added to the aged old outfit. This was a complete no for me.
