Step forward next season

Ok so I'm back from a week in Spain (BOO!) and after spending a week in boiling heat and blaring sunshine, drinking cocktails and staring at beautiful Spanish men I have been greeted with rain, dull cloud and  the Olympics. Obviously it is an amazing achievement that London is hosting the games but I am as far from being interested in sport as anybody could possibly get.

So instead I have decided to brace myself for the invasion of next seasons Ad campaigns. Seeing as our summer has not bloomed and is set to be a wash out until September what else is there to do but put a positive spin on a bleak situation with a look at some of the best designers campaigns.

Burberry always produce some of my favorite campaigns, Christopher Bailey manages to put a young spin on the heritage brand using traditionally good looking models with the style being typically Burberry. This campaign will feature in all magazines and will defiantly boost Burberry love. With a country side chic style contrasting tweed and leather, perfect for our autumn winter wardrobes.
In contrast Chanel have produced a simple and chic campaign, using  models Stella Tennant, Kati Nescher, Cora Emmanuel and Saskia de Brauw the edgy styling and blunt hair cuts create the once again chic and simple Chanel image. This campaign was also photographer by Karl Lagerfeld himself.
DKNY have featured style icon Olivia Palermo's boyfriend Johannes Huebl alongside Twilight star Ashkey Greene in their New York chic campaign. Peter Lindbergh captures the DKNY candid shots seen in many of the ad campaigns produced by the brand. With black being one of the main colours of the collection DKNY still remain as one of the most smart and stylish brands around.

Now I am not usually an Armani fan, personally the designs are not my style and in the past I felt that the brand had got lost within the blitz of crazy campaigns. This season however Armani have come back full force with one of my favorite ads. Mert and Marcus being one of my most admired photography duos have captured the most breath taking images which ooze power and style.

Tim Walker photographing the new Mulberry campaign. What can be said about Mulberry. The brand has been criticised in recent years as the brand is not as British as it once was. However one part of Mulberry that never let the brand down is the ad campaigns. Every single season the brand produces the most cute and quirky adverts that use beautiful models in slightly surreal and comical locations. Walker had said he had "always wanted to see a monster in the woods" from when he was a little boy, he has now created his dream.

Although the clothes are the main focus of these campaigns, this season I believe that the choice of photographers have edited the fantastic images taken. With the biggest names in fashion creating images for the biggest brands, the new season is set to be amazing.

xoxo
